A rare letter, handwritten by the renowned Hassid Gabai Rabbi Yosef Ashkenazi to the renowned Hassid Rabbi Zvi Pinchas Moskowitz of Jerusalem, presenting the holy opinion of the Holy Gaon Rabbi Yoel of Satmar about exhuming the dead abroad and laying them to rest. The Holy Gaon of Satmar discusses the appropriate manner to exhume the dead and whether it is Halachically and technically kosher and appropriate without desecration of the dead.
In the second part of the letter, Rabbi Yossel Ashkenazi writes that we are expecting good tidings from our brother Bnei Yisrael in the Holy Land and in general, may G-d help bring peace to the world, with many wanting to kill us and espeically recently when it seems that the State of Israel is causing G-d forbid a world war…
[1] airmail letter handwritten and signed by the Gabai. 18X30 cm.
