Unique copy! Chevel Yaakov, Shu"t on Kinyanim and Shelichut, authored by Rabbi Abba Yaakov Hacohen Borochov, one of the disciples of the Maharil Diskin and Abd of several Lithuanian communities, second edition, Vilna – 1923. Among the pages of the sefer, many innovations and glosses handwritten by the author.
On the title page, he wrote that every notation in the sefer should be studied by its own right. Many glosses and corrections handwritten by the author appear in the sefer. On the last page he wrote a long omission to his words.
The author Rabbi Abba Yaakov Hacohen Borochov (1848-1936) the Rabbi of Valkaviskas and additional communities. Was born to his father Rabbi Yechiel Michl in Darshonishok (near Vilna). In his youth he studied Torah in several yeshivas among them Shklov with his revered Rabbi the Maharil Diskin. At the age of 21 he was ordained as a Rabbi by the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor in Kovno. That year, he started serving as a Rabbi and stayed for a while in each of the communities he served (Maisiagala, Kopishka, Vikshna and Plock). Rabbi Abba was accepted by all and was pleasing to his fellow men. It is told that even non-Jews would come to hear his sermons and they would also come to him to solve their conflicts. In 1923, he immigrated to the land of Israel and settled in Jerusalem. He passed away on 5 Iyar 1936 and was buried on the Mount of Olives.
