Rare and holy! The handwritten signature of the Holy Rabbi uuthor of Sefas Emes of Gur on an official document, Gur – 1987.
The Holy Rabbi’s signature appears on an official marriage certificate of the Ploish authorities as the Rav Mesader Kiddushin.
Before us is an extremely rare and holy item with the handwritten signature of one of the Tzaddikim of Poland whose handwriting is extremely rare.
The version of the document (translated):
"No. 3 – Gura Kalvaria. At the market yard of Gura Kalvaria on the ninth (21) of January, 1897, at eight in the evening, the head of the local yeshiva Leib Alter appeared personally, and in the presence of the witnesses Aharon Barak Nieman, 48 years old. [4 signatures] student of the yeshiva, and Yaakov Resenbaum, 58 years old, cantor at the synagogue, both of whom live at the market yard of Gura Kalvaria, noting that on this day he conducted a religious marriage ceremony, uniting Yankel Kalmanowitz, who appeared personally, a 22 year old single man, the son of the late Na’im Ber and may she live a long life, of Ninda of the Kirshenblat family Kalmanowitz at the market yard of Gura Kalvaria, who earns a living as a tailor, and Lyuba Rosenblum, a 19 year old single woman, the daughter of Isaac and Terana of the Tzaletskia family Rosenblum, who lives with her parents at the market yard of Gura Kalvaria. The wedding was preceded by announcements to the worshippers at the synagogue on Sabbath … there were no problems during the wedding. The bride’s and groom’s parents gave their consent to the marriage…"
The Holy Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Leib of Gur [1847-1905] one of the greatest Tzaddikim of Poland of all time. His holy Sefer the Sefas Emes, one of the basic and most impoartnt Sefer in the Hassidic world. His father the Holy Rabbi Avraham Mordechai the son of the Holy Rabbi the Chidushei HaRim passed away when he was a child and he was raised by his grandfather. When his grandfather the Chidushei HaRim passed away, the community expected him to be his successor, yet he refused to be appointed Rebbe and Admor and followed the Holy Rabbi Chanoch Henich of Alexander. He became the leader of the community of the Gur Hassidim in 1870. He himself used to write down his Torot on Paarashiyot HaShavu’ah and the holidays on Sunday morning, while wearing his Rabbeinu Tam Tefililn. They were compiled after his passing in the deep and basic Sefer, one of the most important Sefarim in the Hassidic world: Sefas Emes.

Tears and blemishes to the upper part of the leaf, small tears to its lower part. Except for this, good-very good condition.
