Letter of Recommendation Handwritten entirely by the Holy Rabbi Yirmiya of Apollo the Son of the Holy Rabbi Yakkoav David of Amshinov. Warsaw, ca. 1920s-1930s.
In his letter the Holy Admor writes to whom it may concern, and recommends the important Rabbi Getzil Bernzweig who is an honest and decent Talmid Chacham whom everything he does is according to the holy Torah. He has already been holding several rabbinate positions to the satisfaction of the members of his community in Ostrovtza. "And a pesron like him surely should immigrate to our Holy Land and teach Torah and act to exalt the horn of religion".
The Holy Rabbi Yirmiya of Apollo [1877-1942] the son of the Holy Rabbi Yakkoav David of Amshinov the son of the Holy Rabbi Yitzchak of Vorka. Was known amomg the Jews of POland as a holy and lofty miracle-worker. Many came to his for advice and blessing, in Lublin, wher he lived until World War I during which he was arrested and imprisoned for a long time, and later in Warsaw until the detraction of the Jews of Europe.
