The Holy Gaon Rabbi Moshe Greenwald author of "Arugat HaBosem" [1853-1910], one of the Greatest rabbis and Poskim of Hungary. The leading disciple of Moron the Ketav Sofer of Pressburg and the disciple of the leading disciples of the Chasam Sofer the Holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Katz and his grandfather Rabbi Yosef Greenwald. From his youth he became tied to Chassidut and used to travel to the Admorim of Belz and Sieniawa. He was the rabbi of the Homna and Kleiwardein communities until he became the rabbi and leader of Hust, where the greatest rabbis of Hungary headed by the Maharam Schick lived. In his days, the Hust Yeshiva became the largest and most important yeshiva in Hungary with students from all over the world, even the USA, coming to study Torah and piety from its great Rabbi.
