A large sheet of paper, 2 pages, on which the Gaon Rabbi Alexander Moshe Lapidot, the Rav of Hordna, one of Gedolei HaDor who assisted in the foundation of the Mussar Movement, engages in scholarly pilpul, in deep Torah and Halacha innovations and responds to the words of the Gaon author of ‘Yeshu’os Malko’ of Kotna on various matters: Chametz on Pesach, Hilchos Chazaka and more, with references from the entire Talmud.
All in his rabbinic and genius handwriting and with his full signature ‘אלכסנדר משה במ’ צבי ח"פ אחוה"נ הראדנא’.
The renowned Gaon Gedol HaDor Rabbi Alexander Moshe Lapidot [1819-1906] one of the greatest Gedolei HaDor of Lithuania. The close friend of Rabbi Yisroel Salanter, who greatly assisted him in founding the Mussar Movement and writing the Sefer ‘Etz Pri’. The Rav of Rasin for forty years and of Hordna, Yanova and more. One of the outstanding leaders of the generation who improved the prestige of Torah in their days. He wrote many Torah innovations, sending them to religious journals, most of which were founded by him. Alongside Moron Rabbi Yiroel Salanter, Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor and the Chafetz Chaim he is considered one of the greatest Gedolei HaDor.
