Chidushei Rabbeinu Chaim Halevi, Innovations and Elucidations on Seder HaRambam, authored by the Rabbi of all members of the Diaspora, Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik Abd of Brisk, First Edition, Brisk – 1936.
The basic and monumental sefer of the Grach of Brisk, which immediately after its publishing became a heritage asset in the world of Torah and yeshivas! It is common knowledge that the Grach worked for many years on the principles and innovations appearing in the sefer as well as on their precise phrasing (it is told that each line of the sefer was considered by him for many days). The sefer was published approx. eighteen years after his passing by his son Moron the Griz Soloveitchik.
The Gaon Rabbeinu Chaim Soloveitchik Abd of Brisk, Lithuania (1853-1918), one of the great leaders in recent generations. The son of Moron the Beis Levi. At a young age he married Mrs. Lipsha the daughter of the Gaon Rabbi Raphael Shapiro (the son-in-law of the Natziv). At the age of 27, he was appointed Rosh Yeshiva at the Volozhin Yeshiva as a deputy of the Natziv. During those years he thought of the main part of his Torah innovations which he put in writing over the years and which were eventually published, after being refined by him, in the sefer before us.
