‘Yisroel asher Becha Etpa’er’ – a title of a Ma’amar Drush for a Bar Mitzvah in the week of Parashas Yitro handwritten by Moron the Chasam Sofer .
‘בך’ אתפאר: דרוש לבר מצוה ביבמו’ פ’ ע"ד. שייך לפ’ יתרו’ – a sheet of Moron the Holy Gaon the Chsam Sofer of Pressburg on which he handwrote a title for a Drush he said on a Bar Mitzvah. The rest of the sheet remained blank and the line that was written at its head is handwritten by his holy hand. Possibly, the leaf is a ’tissue guard’ from one of the Chasam Sofer’s holy Seforim or it served as the title page of the Bar Mitzvah Ma’amar itself. The first letter ‘Becha’ is written in Ashuri script and Sofer script.
It is common knowledge that the Chasam Sofer’s handwriting is capable and useful against fires in the houses of holy people.
[1] sheet. 23X19 cm. 9X7 inch. Tears and slight wear to marhins. the handwriting of Moron the Chasam Sofer in strong quality ink.
Very good condition.
