Letter about the yeshivas of Hungary handwritten by the Holy Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Segal Rosner, one of the greatest rabbis of Hungary, Szekelyhid, 1929.
In the letter to Rabbi Leibush Bargenicht and Rabbi Avraham Zvi Friedman, the Holy Gaon thanks them for their support of his yeshiva. In addition, he refers to a conference that is supoosed to take place after Shavuos during which it will be decided to merge several yeshivas. Rabbi Yehuda asks them to support him and rabbis from Grosswardein, Karly, Tashand and Vishava to head the merger.
The Holy Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Segal Rosner (1879-1944) one of the most important rabbis of Hungary in the generation before the terrible Holocaust. Served as Av Beis Din of Tshap and Szekelyhid (a position which he held for approx. thirty nine years). In Szekelyhud, he was also Rosh Yeshiva of the yeshiva that was one of the most important yeshivas in Hungary. Rabbi Yehuda was close to the Admorim of Satmar. He perished in Auschwitz on Yom Tov Rishon of Shavuos. Authored the compositions ‘Imrei Yehuda’ on the Torah, Shas and Shut.
