‘May Hashem save him from Gentiles in battle’. A Kvitel sent by the Great renowned Gaon Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Naftali Zilberberg of Warsaw to the renowned Jerusalemite Gaon Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger author of ‘Lev haIvri’. With a letter on charity matters. Jerusalem, 1908.
In his letter, Rabbi Naftali of Warsaw, one of Gedolei Hador of Poland in that time, announces a delivery of charity funds to the poor of Jerusalem and asks the author of the ‘Lev HaIvri’ to pray for the philanthropist ‘R. Avraham Asher ben Feiga Gitl’, he asks to be sent the essay of the Lev HaIvri on Tana Dvei Eliyahu.
Later in the letter, he personally asks Rabbi Akiva Yosef to pray for the son of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Naftali Zilberberg, the young Chanoch ben Manye, that Hashem save him from Gentiles since he is about to be in some battle in a few weeks and needs the mercy of Heaven. Chaim Yaakov Naftali ben Chaya Keila. On the other side, the address and name of the Gaon Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger.
