Broadside by Rabbi Meir Shapiro, for support of Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin. Toward the ending of Tractate Ta’anis of the Daf HaYomi, Piotrkowm toward 20th of Menachem Av, [1925].
"Be advised that giving even the smallest amount of a Krashten a day you are building the only institution for Haredi Jews ‘Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin’ a home that will raise Torah and Yirah which the eyes of all Haredi Jews the Gedolim and Taddikim look up to … signing with a heart filled with longing for the love of the Holy Torah and its learners Meir Shapiro Av Beis Din and Ram Piotrkow". A holy call by the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin and the founder of the "Daf Yomi" to donate to the yeshiva coins as the number of leaves that were studied of Tractate Ta’anis, toward the ending of its study by the first cycle of the Daf Yomi. Rabbi Meir Shapiro (1887-1933) used to say that the "Daf Yomi" and the "Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin" were his two children. The broadside before us demonstrates his great love and concern for his two "children", as he takes care of raising funds for the study of the Torah at the yeshiva and praising the study of the Daf Yomi.
Fold marks, a blemish with lack to the corner of the broadside. Fair condition.
