Sheet of wonderful Ma’amarim, handwritten by the Holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vishava the eldest son of the Holy Rav the Ahavas Yisroel of Vizhnitz, from his old age.
A large sheet with approx. 12 Ma’amarei Shefer and Imros, some of them denouncing uneducated people and stressing the importance of learning Torah and some about the importance of charity and denouncing cheapness and jealousy and additional Leitzanuta DeAvodah Zara against Jewish enlightenment.
Thus for example, a wonderful Ma’amar: Mathematics has four rules. Addition – the troubles of Israel add up due to our sins. Subtraction – livelihood that is being increasingly subtracted. Multipication – taxes and other public expenses. Division – that is done between Israel and gentiles … and so on and so forth.
The Holy Rav of Vishava, the Holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager [1885-1941], the eldest son of the Holy Rav author of the Ahavas Yisroel of Vizhnitz. In 1921, he was appointed Av Beis Din of Vishava and there too established a large yeshiva that was the largest in Romania with more than 400 students. In 1936, after the passing of his father the Ahavas Yisroel, he started serving as Admor and was admiringly and lovingly titled "Rabbi Mendel of Vishava". He continued teaching at his yeshiva and worked in the entire Ramrush district for supporting Torah and religion.
