"Tomorrow is the Yahrzeit of my father and today we are preapring to place the tombstone on his grave" a letter of blessing by Rabbi Aryeh Leib Hacohen the son and the right-hand man of Moron the Chofetz Chaim to the Naggid Rabbi Avraham Mayers, Radin, Elul 1934.
In the letter, Rabbi Aryeh Leib blesses the Naggid Rabbi Avraham Mayers (who he calles "my friend and my father’s friend") with warm blessings for the upcoming new year. Among others, Rabbi Aryeh writes that the next day is the Yahrzeit of his great father and that he is prparing to place a tombstone on his grave.
Rabbi Aryeh Leib Hacohen Av Beis Din of Radin (1861-1938) the eldest son and right-hand man of Moron the Chofetz Chaim. In his youth, he studied with the Beis Levi of Brisk and with Rabbo Yosef Zundel Hutner. After the Chofetz Chaim’s passing, he succeeded him as the Rav of Radin.
