The Gaon Rabbi [Yaakov] Moshe ben Rabbi Yehuda Leib Politz (1686-1766), the leader of the community and leader of the state. A Dayan on Nikolsburg and later Av Beis Din of Londenburg, the young son-in-law of the great Rav in his days, Rabbi Gershon Ashkenazi author of "Avodas HaGershoni". Passed away in 1766, when he was about eighty. His son, Rabbi Gershon Politz, was a Rav, Parnas and leader in Nikolsburg since 1753 and later since 1758, a Rav "head of the Mehrin State" (Moravia). The son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe was Rabbi Yechiel Michl the son of the Gaon Rabbi Yonoson Eibeschutz.
The son-in-law of Rabbi Gershon Politz, Rabbi Yitzchok Itzik Kahana Rappoport Av Beis Din of Leipnik ben Rabbi Wolf Kahana of Furth, was the father of Rabbi Binyomin Ze’ev author of "Simlas Binyomin".
Original wood and leather binding. Blemish to the original binding. Remnants of buckles and their parts. Stains. Good-very good condition.
