Pedigreed copy! Teshuvot Geonim Batra’ei, Prague 1816. The personal copy of the Holy Gaon Rabbi Reuven Chaim Klein the son-in-law of the Holy Rabbi Yeshayah of Kerestir. His signature appears on the title page. 

Many additional notations on the flyleaf ("אלימלך אלכסנדר זיסקינד בהרב מוהר"ר יעקב שטערן מסטראפקוב", "שאול האללענדער" and more). 

The Holy Gaon Rabbi Reuven Chaim Klein (1884-1942) Av Beis Din of Snina, the son-in-law of the Holy Rabbi Yeshayah of Kerestir, was born to his father Rabbi Zvi David Klein the leader of the community of Munkatch. In his youth, he studied Torah with the Holy Gaon author of Pnei Mevin Rabbi Netanel Hacohen Fried Av Beis Din of Oivarash. He also studied with the Holy Rabbi of Munkatch author of Darkei Teshuvah and with his son author of Minchat Eliezer. In 1908, he married Mrs. Rivkah Feigeh the daughter of the Holy Rabbi of Kerestir, whom he followed for about a decade. In 1912, he was called to serve as a Rav in the community of Snina, were he led the community for dozens of years until perishing in the Holocaust alongside the members of his community after refusing attempts to save him. He authored the book Mateh Reuven which merited the enthusiastic approbations of the greatest rabbis of Hungary Rabbi Shlomo Zalmen Ehrenreich, the Rabbi of Shamloy and the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Fihrer. Apearing on the title page is his signature: "לה"ו הק’ ראובן חיים ברצ"ד קליין".
