Letter by Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Slonim the Rav of Hebron and one of the imposrtant Chassidim of the Rashab of Lubavich, jerusalem, 1937.
In the letter, Rabbi Yaakov requests by all means to help his son-in-law who makes a meager living. Rabbi Yaakov Yosef writes with great feelings and his words indicate that it is an emergency. He ends his letter with the words: "the words of he who appreciates and admires him who writes these words with blood and tears … Yaakov Yosef Slonim".
Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Slonim (1880-1937) the last Rav of Hebron, a member of the respected Slonim family, one of the important families of Chabad. A descendent of the Lubavich Admorim. He established in Hebron the ‘Toras Emes’ Yeshiva and did much for the welfare of the Jews of the town. In addition, he did much to bring the Slabodka Yeshiva to Hebron. He lost his son and daughters in the 1929 Arab riotsץ
