The Hebrew Polemic in Jerusalem! Historical Broadside by the Rav of Jerusalem Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and His Beis Din, against the Renewing Scholls ‘Spitzer’ and More. Jerusalem, the ninth of Nissan [1921].

In the broadside, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and the members of his Beis Din, the Geonim Rabbi Moshe nachum Walenstein, Rabbi Mordechai Leib Rubin and Rabbi Yitzchak Frankel, speak out against the renewing schools that study in Hebrew, including the school established by Mrs. Chana Spitzer in the Ruchama neighborhood. The Rabbis note that although the schools have holy names, they are strictly forbidden, similar to the Gzeira of ancient rabbis in previous generations against reform Jews. ‘Haredi names ‘Beis Midrash HaMizrachi seminars Beis Talmud Torah for Haredi girls in the Bukharim neighborhood ‘Rechovot’ and in the Knesset Yisroel neighborhood – Rappoport…’
