Lengthy letter by the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Frankel a member of the Beis Din of Rabbi Shmuel Salant, to his brother-in-law Rabbi Menachem Ben Zion Shapiro. The letter is joined by Rabbi Ben Zion Shapiro’s son-on-law. Jerusalem, ca. 1890s.
In the letter, he takes interest in the well being of his brother-in-law who immigrated to Jerusalem and by the mercy and pity of Rabbi Yitzchak Frankel, Rabbi Shapiro’s orphans grew up in his and his wife the Rebbetzen’s house like real sons, since they had no children of their own. Eventually, the son authored the Sefer ‘Bnei Zion’.

Rabbi Yitzchak Frankel a member of the Beis Din of Jerusalem headed by the Great Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant, one of the great sages of Jerusalem who immigarted from the Diaaspora. The son-in-law of the son of the Gaon Rabbi Yoel Roth author of ‘Beis HaYotzer’.
