Confirmation handwritten by ‘The Father of the Poskim’ the Holy Gaon Rabbi Shimshon Aharon of Teplik confirming that the Chassid Rav Shmuel Lipson a descendent of the Besht is capable of hosting new immigrants to Israel in his home. Jerusalem, 1925.
The first half of the letter, a request from the authorities of the British Mandate, to enable Mrs. Chana Shapiro, the sister of the Chassid Rabbi Shmuel Lipson, residing in Rovno, Poland to immigrate to the Land of Israel. Rabbi Lipson pledges to support his sister in a manner such that she will not become a burden on any institution or individual. This confirmation was required by the authorties in every case of immigration from one country to another.
On this request, Rabbi Polansky, the Holy Gaon of Teplik, confimed by his handwritten signature that he knows of rabbi Lipson great wealth.
The Great Gaon Rabbi Shimshon Aharon Polansky of Teplik [1876-1948] one of the greatest Poskim after the World War. A Rav of the Beis Yisroel neighborhood. His disciples are Poskei Halacha in the two following generations, of all circles and communities, and he is an important link in conveying Hora’ah to Beis Yisroel.
