Pedigreed copy. Shefa Tal, Kabbalistic elucidations by the Holy Kabbalist Rabbi Sheftel Horowitz, Lemberg, 1859. The personal copy of the Holy Rav of Husiatyn.
Appearing on the title page are two stamps of the Holy Rav of Husiatyn: "אוצר הספרים של ישראל פריעדמאן מהוסיאטין"..
The Holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel Friedman of Husiatyn, the elsdest of the Ruzhin Tzaddikim, the grandson of the Holy Rav Ateres Tiferes Yisroel of Ruzhin and the son of the Holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai Feibush of Husiatyn. Was renowned as a sublime Tzaddik. It is common knowledge that when the Holy Rav Rabbi Ahron of Belz said just ‘Rabbi’ he was referring to the Rav of Husiatyn. To his court in Vienna and later in Tel-Aviv, thousands used to come for advice and blessing, slavation and medicine. He is famous for his Avodah during World War II for stopping the Nazis from conquering Eretz Israel.
The author: Rabbi Shftel Howrowitz (1566-1619) one of the sages and Kabbalists of Prague in early generations. Was a relative of the Holy Shela. Rabbi Sheftel followed in the footsteps of the Ramak in Toras HaNistar. His Sefer "Shefa Tal" elucidates the Igeres HaTeamim of the early Kabbalist Rabbi Aharon of Kardino "Ba’al HaKarnayim" and became one of the most important Seforim which had many editions.
