Postcard of Torah innovations some of which have not been published, handwritten by Maran the holy Gaon Rabbi Shimon Sofer the Hitorerus Teshuva of Erlau to the renowned Gaon Rabbi Yisroel Weltz including reference to hus Sefer "Mussarei HaRambam". Erlau, 1928.

Postcard with Torah innovations handwritten by the great Gaon the renowned Rav of Erlau the Hitorerus Teshuva Rabbi Shimon Sofer, from early 1928, and half of it has not been published, about Mumar LeChalel et HaShabbas and matters of Aggadah and miracles which accompanied the manna.  

On the margins of the postcard, he writes ‘I am sending his honor the Sefer Mussarei HaRambam maybe he could distribute them among his Ba’alei Batim and his disciples to merit the many, one costs 20 Heller and may he inform me how many to send. 

The entire postcard is handwritten and signed by Maran the Hitorerus Teshuva of Erlau. In the lines of the addressee it was written in a aforeign language Weltz Yisroel Budapest. 

The Holy Gaon author of Hitorerus teshuva Rabbi Shimon Sofer of Erlau [1850-1944] the grandson of Maran the Chasam Sofer. Since 1881. Rav and Av Beis Din of Erlau and the Rosh Yeshiva there. Headed the struggle against destroyers of religion, continuing the struggle of his father and grandfather, Authored the Hitorerus Teshuva Shut 4 sections and the Sefer "Shir Ma’on". perished in Auschwitz with the Jews of Hungary in summer 1944, being 95 years old. 

The Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yisroel Weltz Av Beis Din of Budapest [1887-1974] a disciple of the author of Yalkus Sofer and the author of Da’as Sofer Rabbi Akiva Sofer of Pressburg. After World War I, he became the Rav of pest, a section of the capital city of Budapest, established there a yeshiva and became one of the greatest rabbis of Hungary. After the Holocaust he immigrated to Jerusalem, living in Shikun HaRabbanim and was one of the most important and admired rabbis in Israel.
