Printed during the author’s lifetime! Turei Even on Tractate Rosh Hashana, Chagiga and Megilah, by Rabbeinu author of the She’agas Aryeh, first edition, Metz, 1781. The personal copy of Rabbi Moshe Sethon.
Sefer Turei Even authored by Rabbeinu Rabbi Aryeh Leib Ginzburg author of the She’agas Aryeh, one of the basic Seforim on these tractates.
On the title page, several additional ownership stamps: "Yaakov Yitzchak Halevi Horowitz", "Avraham Shlomo Baharish…"
Chacham Moshe Sethon (1797-1878), one of the greatest sages of Aleppo. At a young age he married the daughter of Chacham Hillel Sethon. He did much for the welfare of the Jews of Aleppo as well as for saving the Jews of Damascus during the famous blood libel in the city in 1840. Authored the Sefer ‘Divrei Moshe’ – Drushim on Sefer Bereshis which was published in Livorno in 1849. His signature appears on the title page in Sephardic scipt (Solitreo – Chatzi Kolmus).
Rabbeinu Rabbi Aryeh Leib Ginzburg (1695-1785). One of the greatest Poskim of all generations.
