"Samchuni"; handwritten copying by one of the Chassidim, from Sefer HaChakirah, Derech Emunah, by the Admor the Tzemach Tzeddek of Lubavitch, with textual variations from the printed version. 

Manuscript of passages from the "Samchuni" chapter, from Sefer HaChakirah, called Derech Emunah, with textual variations. 

[9] leaves, [18] pp. 21 cm. Content similar to that of this manuscript was printed in Sefer Derech HaChakirah, third edition, Brooklyn [2003], pp. 168-180. Some of the passages of the manuscript are totally different the printed version. 

Background: "Derech HaChakirah" was written by the Admor th eTzemach Tzeddek and deals with basic Emunah quastions. The Sefer was written in (1843) towards the conference of rabbis in Petersburg, as a result of the present need of responding to the members of the Enlightenment Movement, which tried to force the Haredi Jews to adopt religious reforms. The Sefer contains intellectual evidence of the creation of the world and it sinnovation by G-d and disucssues explorations by the Kuzari, the Rambam, the Smag and more. The Tzemach Tzeddek wrote additions to the Sefer after returning from the conference. The Sefer was published initially in Poltova [1912]. The second edition was published in Berditchev [1913] and the thrid in Brooklyn [1955]. Additional editions with corrections and additions from manuscripts were publiished in Brrokly [2003] and [2018]. Most of the Sefer was published from a manuscript by the Tzemach Tzeddek, except for several Ma’amarim and lists on verses, including "Eleh HaEdot" and "Samchuni BaAshishot", which were published from manuscripts by copysits. 

No binding, the last leaf is detached, stains, some moth holes, good condition.
