Historical! Manifest by the office of Agudas Yisroel in Poland with a request for monetary assistance for the activity of the Agudah, Warsaw, 1931.
In the document, the leaders of Agudas Yisroel the Gaon Rabbi Aharon Levin the Rav of Reisha, Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Hacohen Levin the son-in-law of the Holy Rav author of the Imrei Emes and the future president of Agudas Yisroel, Rabbi Chaim Bialer Rabbi Alexander Zusha Friedman, Rabbi Moshe Lerner and Rabbi Meshulam Kaminer, call its members to raise funds for its institutions in order to continue and refine their activities: " To establish a political office that will deal with lobbying … to start with decent educational work in order to enable our educational institutions to exist and develop in these difficult times, to start a campaign for the idea of the Agudah in all cities of the country, to support the Charedi Yishuv in our Holy Land" etc. The leaders of Agudas Yisroel note the difficult situation in the world (these were the days of the Great Depression of the 1930s) and ask the members of the Agudah to make an effort, despite the situation, for the important enterprises of the Agudah for religious life. At the beginning of the letter, the leaders of Agudas Yisroel express their greetings over the great success in the elections for the Polish Sejm and parliament that year.
