"To inform me about the wellbeing of my uncle Shalita and recount his Hanhagos…" Wonderful and rare letter on charity matters, in it the Holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai of Zolchov, the nephew of the miracle-worker Maran the Holy Rav Rabbi Yitzchak of Neshchiz, asks to be mentioned favorably to him and be told of his holy Hanhagos. Ca. 1860s.

The letter was sent to his close friend the renowned Chassid Rabbi Yaakov and at its beginning, the Holy Rav of Zolchov asks to be informed on the wellbeing of the addressee and of his great uncle the Tzaddik Rabbi Yitzchak of Neshchiz , author of ‘Zikaron Tov’ and ‘Toldos Yitzchak’, whom the Tzaddikim of his generation and thousands of Jews flocked to him for salvation and who had many great disciples.

Fondly, the holy Rav of Zolchov adds on the margins of the letter three complete lines handwritten by him in which he again pleads: ובקשתי לכתוב לי מכל דבר שהוא הנמצא איתו ובכל חצרות קודש דודינו הק’ שליט"א, יעזור לי הש"י שאזכה לראות זיו הדרת קדשו בחיים ושלום. … באהבה מרדכי בהרב זללה"ה".

The rest of the letter is about helping the relative of the holy Rav of Zolchov, the Chassid Rabbi Yitzchak Vohl who lost his fortune and his children face hunger:  "יען כי השתרגו עלו על צווארו חובות רבות ובטח לא נעלם מאת כ"ת מהות האיש היקר הזה אשר מעודו הי’ בחוסן העשירות".

Their friend Rabbi Ze’ev of Pakitielev is also referred to.
