Letter of blessing by the Holy Admor Rabbi Avraham of Strikov, Tel Aviv, 1970s.
In the letter, the Admor of Strikov blesses the activist Rabbi Yosef Gliss for a happy event. Apparently, the Rav enclosed a sum of money as a gift since the words ‘a hundred dollar’ were written on the letter, apparently to send a return letter of gratitude.
The Holy Admor Rabbi Avraham Landau of Strikov (1917-2001) was born to his father Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Dan of Strikov. In his youth, he studied Torah at the Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin. With the outbreak of the war, he escaped to Vilna where he stayed for several months with the Griz of Brisk, studying Torah with him. After the war, he immigrated to the Holy Land, following the Rav of Brisk. He also became close to the Gaon of Tshebin. in 1948 he was crowned Admor by the eldest Strikov Chassidim. Was renowned for his great modesty and simple manners.
