Letter written by the holy order of the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel Sholom Yosef of Mezhbizh by the Chassid Gabai Rabbi Naftali Yosha Burstein, to his Chassidim in Safed, before the birth of his eldest daughter the Rebbetzen Mrs. Chava Sarah of Boyan, in which he thanks them for their prayers for him and his family members to have children and asks them to continue with their prayers for them. 1890.
The letter was sent in 1890 from Mezhbizh to the Rabbi’s Chassidim in Safed, the Chassidim Rabbi Mordechai Shlomo and Rabbi Tuvia, thanking and praising them for praying for the Rabbi and his family beside the graves of Tzaddikim and when brothers gather together.
The Gabai, on behalf of the holy Admor author of ‘Shoresh Yishai’ of Mezhbizh asks the Chassidim to continue with their prayers and to give money to charity on their behalf, the Rebbetzen being in the ninth month of her pregnancy, before giving birth to her eldest daughter the pious Rebbetzen Mrs. Chava Sarah of Boyan.
It is interesting to note that the Gabai, writing on behalf of the Admor, writes about the money that was sent to the Chassidim to be given to charity: ‘The Admor Shalita sent the money via Boyan…’
