Letters from the Holy Court of Sadigura including Some of the Enterprises of the Holy Maran the Knesses Mordechai for the Many
Three letters by the close Gabaim and secretaries of the holy Maran the Knesses Mordecai of Sadigura, referring to some of his enterprises for the many and the individual.
* A letter by the senior Gabai Rabbi MordechaimDavid Rachaman on behalf of Maran the Knesses Mordechai to the important Jerusalemite activist Rabbi Moshe Glickman Porush for the passing of his mother. Shevat 1943.
* Menachem Av 1953, letter to the national center of Agudas Yisroel, with a request to send all the protocols of the sessions of the center to his temporary residence, the Admor’s retreat in the new Montefiore neighborhood the Fax Pension, where the Rebbe was staying to rest.
* Elul 1953. Letter by the Gabai to the national center of Agudas Yisroel, in which he lets them know that the Rebbe is not feeling well and therefore will be unable to take part in the meeting of the worldwide executive committee of Agudas Yisroel, of which the Rebbe was a member. In addiiton, he announces the installment of a new telephone line at the Rebbe’s house whise number is 3138.
Maran the Holy Rav Rabbi Mordechao Sholem Yosef of Sadigura author of the Knesses Mordechai [1896-1979], one of the greatest Admorim of his generation and one of the most important leaders in recent generations. The son of the Holy Rav the Kedushas Aharon the son of the Holy Rav the Or Yisroel of Sadigura, at the age of 32 was appointed as a member of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and was its youngest member. Was appointed president of Keren HaTorah of Agudas Yisroel and was one of the leaders of the movement. Established a yeshiva for hundreds of boys in Pshemishl. Was a partner in many enterprises in the Land of Israel supporting the study of Torah, independent education, Beis Yaakov and a network of Torah lessons. In his days, the court of Sadigura expanded and developed in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bnei berak and elsewhere. His son the Holy Rav the Ikvei Abirim succeeded him as the Admor of Sadigura.
