Three volumes of Hilchos Rav Alfas – Rif, Sulzbach [1762-1766] edition.
The personal copy of the holy Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Horowitz of Frankfurt am Main, author of ‘HaFela’ah’ and ‘Panim Yafos’ the Rav of Maran the Chassam Sofer who called him ‘A mirror lighting the world’.
Written on the title page o fthe second section הספר הזה שייך’ להרב הגאון הגדול החסיד מופת הדור רבן של כל בני הגולה מוהר"ר פנחס נרו אב"ד ור"מ ומ"צ בק"ק פ"פ דמיין יע"א’.
On the title page of the first section it is also written that the Sefer belongs to the great Gaon Rav Rabbi Pinchas Av Beis Din of Frankfurt am Main. Written on the lower part of the title page of the third section ‘הק’ פנחס‘, possibly this is the handwriting of Rabbeinu HaFela’ah himself.
In addition, the signature of the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Leib Freishttadt of Wien and several short handwritten editings.
The holy Rav author of HaFela’ah, one of the Geonim of recent generations and one of the first Tzaddikim of Chassidus, one of the greatest disciples of the Maggid of Mezeritch with his holy brother the holy Gaon Rabbi Shmelkeh of Nikolsburg, the friend of the holy Rav Ba’al HaTanya who said rare things about him in a letter he sent him:
‘אור ישראל וקדושו, בוצינא קדישא, חסידא ופרישא, מופת הדור זיוו והדרו איש אלוקים קדוש’.

376 leaves. No title page. The last leaf is restored and slightly lacking. Wear to the leaves. Some of the leaves in the middle of this volume are torn and worn with lack in the center of the text. Old water stains and aging stains. New elegant leather bindings with gily lettering. Stains. Dark leaves. Good general condition.
