‘I do not know if this is Ribis (interest) or not!’ A leaf with notations handwritten by the holy hand of the great Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried Av Beis Din of Ungvar and author of the renowned basic Sefer ‘Kitzur Shulchan Aruch’.
Between the lines, references to Dinei Torah that he had dealt with including a question on Hilchos Ribis (interest), the great Gaon author of the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch describing as a Dayan the full details of the proceedings, the loan and the payments.
On the same page, many signatures handwritten by him of the last name ‘Ganzfried’ and his signature ‘Salomon Ganzfried’ in a foreign language.
On the back of the leaf, dense script in a foreign language, apparently Slovakian or Polish. This script too is the handwriting of the holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried.
The holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried [1804-1886] the renowned Rav of Ungvar.
Authored many Seforim including: Keses Sofer, Toras Zevach, Lechem VeSimlah, Ohalei Shem, yet became renowned for his important Sefer ‘Kitzur Shulchan Aruch’, a basic Sefer in every Jewish home for eternal generations.
