Piskei Halacha handwritten by Maran the ‘Hitorerus Teshuva’ the holy Gaon Rabbi Shimon Sofer of Erlau.
A leaf handwritten entirely by the holy Gaon Rabbi Shimon Sofer author of ‘Hitorerus Teshiva’ of Erlau, Piskei Halacha and studies on blessings and the blessing of fruit, and on matters of Zimun.
The first part of the leaf, on matters of the blesisng of fruit – was printed in the Sefer Shut Hitorerus Teshuva Soman 96. The second part was not found.
The holy Gaon author of Hitorerus Teshuva Rabbi Shimon Sofer of Erlau [1850-1944] the grandson of Maran the Chassam Sofer. Since 1881, Rav and Av Beis Din of Erlau and Rosh Yeshiva of its great yeshiva. Headed the campaign against the destroyers of religion, continuing the campaign of his father and grandfather, the Shepherds of Yisroel. Authored the Hitorerus Teshuva Shut 4 sections and the Sefer Shir Ma’on. Perished in Auschwitz with the Jewry of Hungary in summer 1944 being 95 years old.
