Served as Rav in important cities, headed by Chernowitz. Was a renowned Divine holy man with wonderous stories about him, for example, that after he immersed himself in the Mikveh on Sabbath eve, his appearance would change and his height increased. Immigrated to Eretz Yisroel and settled in Safed where he was laid to rest.
