Holy hHistorical Document! Marriage Certifcate of the Pnei Menachem of Gur whose Father the Imrei Emes was the Mesader Kiddushin

Official marriage certificate of HaEdah HaChareidis Prushim and Chassidim, for the marriage of the holy Rav the Pnei Menachem of Gur, the youngest son of the holy Rav the Imrei Emes of Gur, to the granddaughter of his father’s brother the pious Rebbezten Mrs. Tzipora Alter. Jerusalem, 1946.

The marriage certificate was written on the 10th of Tamuz 1946, the day the youngest son of the holy Gaon the Imrei Emes of Gur was married. That day, there was great joy in every concentration of Gur Chassidim, in the camps of refugees and Displaced Persons in Europe and in the USA. Twenty years earlier, during the Seudas Bris Milah of the newborn, his father the old Rebbe of Gur stated that he will bless the cup in his wedding! Now, after the major crisis of world Jewry and the terribel Holocaust during which almost a hundred thousand Chassidim and more than a hundred descendants of the Imrei Enes perished, the old Admor’s blessing vecame true and he was seeing his son being wed.

This is the offical document of that Chupah, which symbolized the onset of the revival and days of construction.

Eventually, Maran the holy Rav Rabbi Pinchas Mordechai will become an admired leader of Yisroel, Rosh Yeshivas Sefas Emes in Jerusalem, a member of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, Va’ad HaYeshivas, the independent education, the chairman of Agudas Yisroel and in later life, the Rav of thousands – the Rebbe of Gur also known as the Pnei Menahcem after his holy Sefer.

The two witnnesses who signed the marriage certificate are two of the most important and greatest Gur Chassidim: the Chassid Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schreibom, the son of Rabbi ‘Simcha More Hora’ah’ of Gur and the renowned Chassid Gabai Rabbi Yehoshua Noah Binka, the Gabai of the great Beis Midrash of Gur during the lifetime of the holy Rav the Beis Yisroel, who wrote down the Torah of the holy Rav the Imrei Emes of Gur.

Maran the holy Admor the Pnei Menachem of Gur the Holy Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter [1926-1996] Youngest son of the holy ‘Imrei Emes’ of Gur, one of the leaders of the last generation and one of the great spirits who stood at the head of the Chareidi Juadism. Served as Rosh Yeshiva of the Sefas Emes Yeshiva since 1957, and since the passing of his brother-in-law Rabbi Yitzchak Meir HaKohen Levine the president of Agudas Yisroel, began to lead the the National Center of the movement. He stood at the right side of his brothers the Admorim the ‘Beis Yisroel’ and the ‘Lev Simcha’ of Gur and for many years toiled for restablishing and founding the Torah institutions of Chassidus Gur. Dozens of years he served as member of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and was its leading speaker in all public conferences. In his last years he served as Admor of Gur for tens of thousands until his sudden passing hours after leading his Purim Tisch. Was renowned for his peacefullness, modesty and great genius as well as his love for the Torah and for Yisroel.
