Collection of [3] letters of worldview, Mussar, guidance and public matters handwritten by the eldest of the Mashgichim Rabbi Shlomo Wolba.
The first letter: his letter to Maran Posek Hador the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, to whom the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Woba writes with courtesy and respect with a request to approbate a Sefer on worldview and Halacha for Ba’alei Teshuva, ‘This Sefer is required by reality due to the arising problems. In order for Ba’alei Teshuva to rely on the Sefer, there is great need for it t be approbated by the Gaon the Posek whom the entire generation relies on‘.
Another letter is an urgent request for saving the cemetery of Königsberg where the Gaon Rabbi Yisroel Salnater, the father of the Mussar Movement, is buried. A lengthy letter that was sent with a plea to join the efforts for obtaining governmental funding anf for turning the spotlight of the media and the public to the situation of the cemetery.
The third letter opens a window to the gentleness and pure heart of Maran the Mashgiach. The letter was sent to an author of a Sefer, which due to lack of time, Maran the Mashgiach could not study. On the one hand, he did not want to respond before reading the Sefer thoroughly; on the other, to exempt it with nothing was impossible. Therefore, he sent a short letter with an apology for not reading the Sefer and with money for it.
The eldest of the Mashgichim the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Wolba [1914-2005]. In his youth, he became attached to the Mashgiach the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Yerucham Leibowitz of Mir and to his Torah. One of the greatest Mashgichim of the recent generation and author of the Seforim ‘Alei Shor’ on Mussar and Avodas Hashem. Served as a Mashgiach at the ‘Be’er Yaakov’ yeshiva, at the ‘Beis HaMussar’ and the ‘Givas Shaul’ yeshiva which he established.
[3] letters on official stationery of varied types. All of them handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Wolba. His stamp appears on one of the letters in addition to his signature. Filing perforation in one letter. Minor fold marks to another letter. A stain on one of the letters. Very good general condition.
