Likutei Amaram – Tanya, by the Admor HaZaken. Rare edition, important and revised, published by Chevras Tomchei Temimim. Vilna, 1900.
Likutei Amarim Tanya. Vilna, 1900. This special edition was proofread after manuscripts, and after a manuscript by the author, and it included several important completions, edited by Rabbi Asher Shuv of Nikoliev. This edition serves as the prototype for all following editions. Was photocopied in dozens and hundreds of editions that were published all over the world.
[2], 163 leaves. 20 cm. Printed on quality paper, with wide margins. At the beginning of the Sefer, [2] title pages. Signatures and ownership notations.
At first, printed at the end of this edition was a poem by the publisher praising the Admor the Rashab. However, the Admor ordered to stop distributing this edition, to tear off the last leaf and replace it with a new leaf whose back page remained blank. This copy contains the last leaf without the poem that was omitted by order of the Rebbe the Rashab.
New elegant semi-leather binding with gilt lettering, aging stains, good condition.
