190 leaves, 20 cm. Signatures and ownership inscriptions, with a stamp of Rabbi Shlomo Friedman. Dozens of scholarly comments, linguistic corrections and erasures. Apparently, these comments have not been published.
The holy Rav Rabbi Shlomo [Shlominyu] Friedman (1843-1880) – the son of the first Admor of Sadigura, the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yaakov. By his first marriage his was the son-in-law of the holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Rimnov and by his second marriage, the son-in-law of his uncle the holy Rav Rabbi David Halperin. In his father’s lifetime, Avrechim gathered around him and he was supposed to succeed his father yet passed away during his holy father’s lifetime.
Ancient leather binding, restored, with gilt lettering, stains, restoration of blemishes to the title page and the last leaf moth holes, fair-good condition.
