The great Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Miche Feinstein (1907-2003) Rosh Yeshivas Beis Yehuda and one of the greatest Tofsei HaTorah. The son-in-law of Maran the Rav of Brisk the Griz. In his youth, he studied with the Gaon Rabbi Shimon Shkop and the Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer, who greatly liked and appreciated him. Studied in Chevruta with the Iluyim of the yeshiva world, who later became Gedolei Torah and renowned Rosh Yeshivas: Rabbi Yechiel Michl Schlesinger, Rabbi David Povarsky, Rabbi Aryeh Leib Malin, Rabbi Yona Karpilov and more. During World War II< he travelled with many of the students of the Mir Yeshiva from Vilna to Japan and from there, in 1941, to New York. He was a member of the Union of Rabbis and one of the leaders of "Va’ad HaHatzalah". He also served as Ram Metivta Tiferes Yerushalayim in New York, headed by his Gaon uncle Rabbi Moshe Feinstein. In 1946, he immigrated to Eretz Yisroel. During the years 1948-1952, he returned to the USA to serve as the Rosh Yeshivas "Tiferes Yerushalayim" in the USA and later established the Beis Yehuda yeshiva in Tel Aviv. His innovations were published in the series of Seforim "Shiurei Rabbeinu Yechiel Michl" on the tractates of the Shas, "Shiurei Rabbeinu HaGrim – Taharos", "Chidushei Rabbienu HaGrim – on the Torah" and more.
