Letter of matters of charity with blessings for the New Year handwritten by the Tzaddik Gaon the Jerusalem maggid Rabbi Ben Zion Yadler.
In the letter, he greets ‘peace for him and all his family members and his father and his father’s family, all of them may they be blessed and Hashem may merit us to walk on Mesilas Yesharim … and may all our actions be for the sake of heaven and we merit doing Mitzvos Yesharos. He who blesses him with all the best, spiritually and materially’.
Later in the letter, he writes on matters of charity, asking for one of the righteous of Jerusalem for his dignified livelihood.
The Jerusalem Maggid Rabbi Ben Zion Yadler [1872-1962] one of the greatest Maggidim of recent generations who was renowned for his sweet-tongue and whose sermons attracted a large audience. A modest and superior Oved hashem. One of the Tzaddikim of Jerusale, . Was the disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant, who gave him his rabbinic Semicha.
