Two letters about helping Shomrei Shevi’i. mighty worriers, and a letter of blessings handwritten by the great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Edelstein the Rav of Ramat HaSharon.
In the first letter, which is written on official stationery in 1958 to Rabbi Avraham Yogel, one of the rabbis of Ramat Gan and the son of the great Gaon Rabbi Shabtai Yogel, Maran the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Edelstein writes that an opportunity presented itself to employ mighty warriors who will not work their land during the upcoming Shemita, workers who want to leave stheir agricultural jobs during the Shemita.
In the second letter, which is written on a postcard, Maran the Gaon Rabbi Edelstein cordially sends blesses for the marriage of a young couple, blessing them that the Shechina may reside in their home all days.
The Great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Edelstein, the Rav of Ramat HaSharon. The son of the Gaon Rabbi Zvi Yehuda Edelstein from one of the most important families of the Lithuanian Torah world. Gedol Hador. One of the most important disciples of Maran the Chazon Ish and one of the first students of the Ponovezh Yeshiva. Was known as a man of many interests, who loved people and brought them closer to Torah and its toil, a pillar of the prayers and hearts of Yisroel and a miracle-worker.
