Beis Habechira by Rabbeinu Hameiri. Halberstadt 1860. The personal copy of the holy Rav Rabbi Nachum Dober Friedman of SAdigura with his holy handwritten signature and with his stamps ‘Minchas Shai’.

A splendid full signature of the holy Rav Rabbi Nachum Berenyu, his personal stamp and the stamp of ‘Minchas Shai’ with which he used to stamp Seforim he received as a gift. Bound in a fine binding in the style of the bindings of the many books of the large and rich library of the holy Rav Rabbi Nachum Dov Ber.

The holy Rav Rabbi Nachum Dov Ber Friedman [1844-1883] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Sholom Yosef of Ruzhin and the son-in-law of the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura, a great Torah and Chassidus Gaon. Lived his entire life in the court of his father-in-law in Sadigura. His large library contained many rare Seforim and manuscripts and was one of the most important and renowned libraries in his time. The Gaon author of ‘Yad Yehuda’ the Rav of Sadigura writes in his foreword to his Sefer ‘And when I came here to Sadigura I found what my soul loved in the house of my relative the Tzaddik Rav the son of the holy Nachum Dov who has a collection of rare Seforim by ancient authors which is unparalleled’. Used to stamp his Seforim with three stamps – Minchas Shai (gift), Yerushas Avos (inheritance), Kinyan Kaspi (bought with my money).

6, 102 leaves, 33 cm. Aging and water stains. Some moth perforations. The back binding has been ripped off. Good-very good condition.
