Sefer Olelos Ephraim by Rabbi Ephraim Zalman Margolis of Brody. Lvov, 1886.
With the holy stamp ‘Shaul Brach of Neitra Av Beis Din of Kehal Yere’im Kashoi’. The holy Sefer had belonged to the Gaon and glory of Hungarian Jewry who fought Hashem’s war supporting religion.
The holy Gaon Rabbi Shaul Brach of Neitra – Kashoi, was born in Neitra, appearing on his stamp ‘Shaul Brach of Neitra’. Studied Torah with Maranan the Maharam Schik and the Chassan Sofer and travelled to the Tzaddikim of his generation of Sanz, Siget and Belz. Was renowned as Av Beis Din of Kashoi and most of the leading rabbis of Hungary studied at the renowned Yeshiva he established there. Was also known as ‘Shaul Bchir Hashem’.
Two full stamps and another partial stamp. Late handwritten ownership notation.
[2] 30 leaves. 23 cm. Moth holes and damage. Dry leaves. Original binding (partial), slightly worn. Fair-good condition.
