Account of charity money that was sent to Eretz Yisroel and were distributed by the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel Avraham Alter Landau Av Beis Din of Edelin and the son-in-law the holy Rav Rabbi Yeshaya’le of Kerestir.

‘The holy money was given to the Admor Shalita the third of Tazri’ah 1929’ ‘I sent yesterday the money this amount by the post check to your address in Jerusalem Tuesday Tazri’ah 1929 Yisroel Avraham Alter Landau Rav Av Beis Din of Edelin’.

The list includes important members of the Edelin community. Enclosed is the original envelope with the letterhead of the Gaon Rabbi Yisroel Avraham Alter Landau that was sent to Kollel Shomrei HaChmos. Jerusalem, Palestine.

The holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel Avraham Alter Landau Av Beid Din of Edelin and the son-in-law of the holy Rav of Kerestir author of ‘Chassan Yeshaya’. A disciple of the holy Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Greenwald of Satmar. For almost twenty years he lived near his father-in-law in Kerestir, following him constantly. Nevertheless, he did not become involved with the matters of the masses who came and purely taught Torah all the days. Eventually, he was asked by the Edelin community to serve as its Rav and there he established his important yeshiva. Authored important Seforim and his son and successor, the holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Hirsch, the writer of this letter, published them. His brothers were also Geonim in Hungary author of ‘Shulchan Melachim’ and Av Beis Din of Legenmiahly.
