250, [2], 251-316 leaves, 29 cm. The title page is missing. Ownership notation "Rabbi Yechiel Michl Av Beis Din of Berlin". On leaf 251 p. 2. a lengthy handwritten scholarly gloss. On the back of the last leaf, a handwritten notation about the births of the Marcaria family of Italy, during the years [1553-1587], written by Rabbi David Marcaria of Ferrara and his father [the physician Rabbi Yaakov Marcaria]. The Mohalim Rabbi Moshe Atzein and Rabbi Chizkiya Finzi Mario are referred to. Enclosed is a printed leaf with the content of the manuscript.

Rabbi Yaakov ben Rabbi David Marcaria, a physician, one of the sages of Venice, the disciple and member of the Beis Din of Rabbeinu Yosef Ottoleng in Cremona. During the years 1558-1562 worked as a proofreader of the Hebrew books that were printed at the printery of Riva Detrinto.

His son, Rabbi David Marcaria of Ferrara, was born in Tishrei 1552. One of the sages of Italy. In 1605 established with Rabbi Yisroel Kunian a Beis Midrash in the state of Venice. The Beis Midrash provided clothing, food and a place to stay and was funded by funds that were raised in the synagogues of Venice.

The Gaon Rabbi Chizkiya Finzi ben Rabbi Binyomin, expert Mohel and Av Beis Din of Ferrara for more than forty years. Th eRav of Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh of Modena. Passed away in 1623.
