Heh Lachem Zera LiTzeddaka – Psakim. Shut Mahari Mintz and his grandson Rabbi Meir of padova, Furth (appearing on the title page "Salonika" yet apparently, this edition was printed in Furth), 1766.
Ownership notation: a gift by the Rav Rabbi Yaakov Sofer. Stamps of the ‘Or Torah’ yeshiva of Tiberius.
The Rav of all members of the Diaspora Rabbeinu Yehuda ben Eliezer Halevi Mintz, one of the greatest Ashkenazic Poskim in the generation between the Rishonim and the Acharonim. A disciple of his uncle Rabbeinu Moshe Mintz. Left Ashkenaz and moved to Padova, Italy. Established a yeshiva, which he headed for dozens of years. There, his disciple Rabbeinu Meir Katznelboigen became very close to him. Their Halachic responsum appears in this Shut.
Approx. 20 cm. 61 [i.e. 61] leaves.
Stains, restoration to the title page (not affecting the text). Good condition.
