Letter by the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Feibel Halberstam of Kashanov – Kashanov to the Chassid Rabbi Yosel Ashkenazi – Meshamesh BaKodesh about the recpetion for Maran the holy Rav Rebbeinu of Satmar in London. 1959.
Letter by the rabbinic Gaon Chassid Rabbi Sheraga Ze’ev Feibel Halberstam of Kashanov, a descendant of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz.
Sent to the loyal Chassid Meshamesh BaKodesh Rabbi Yosef Ashkenazi who was staying in Eretz Yisroel with Maran of Satmar during his important historical visit. The letter describes the respectable visit to London led by Rabbeinu of Satmar. He recalls a conversation with Rabbi Lipa Friedman who met with the ambassador and the senator so they will meet Maran and honor him.
At the beginning of the letter he informs that the party and meeting with Mr. Yechiel Rosenblat was for the best. On the margins of the leaf he mentions his name and his mother’s for Maran of Satmar.
[1] folded leaf. 21X14 cm. Enclosed is the original envelope with the address of ‘Yosef Ashkenazi Yeshivas Yitav lev Yoel St. Jerusalem Israel" and the postmark. Very good condition.
