A sacred copy generation after generation! Mishkenos Yaakov, Shut on the four parts of the Shulchan Aruch. Vilna, 1838. The personal copy of the holy Rav the Yitav Lev of Siget with two halachic glosses handwritten by him and with a gloss handwritten by his son the holy Rav the Kedushas Yom Tov.
The copy was inherited and stamped by his grandson the holy Yechiel Michl Teitelbaum of Siget, the son of the holy Rav the Atzei Chaim of Siget, thus it had also belonged to his holy father Maran the Atzei Chaim of Siget. Yechiel Michl perished in Auschwitz.
Additional stamps of their relative the renowned Gaon Rabbi Avraham Moshe Babad of Gura Humora, an important Vizhnitz Chassid, the step-son-in-law of the Ahavas Yisroel of Vizhnitz. Several stamps and a stamp of his library in Gura Humora before the war.
On the title page, a special notation handwritten by Maran the Kedushas Yom Tov ‘…לברך את ישראל אז נדברו יראי ה’ איש אל רעהו ויקשב ה’ וישמע‘. Inside the Sefer, two handwritten glosses. On the last leaf, a handwritten notation incomplete and torn: … belongs to the Rav … Yom Tov Teitelbaum…
The golden dynasty: the pillar of Beis Yisroel, leaders of Yisroel, the holy Rav Rabbi Moshe of Oihel author of the Yismach Moshe, his son the holy Rav Rabbi Eliezer Nissan, his son the holy Rav the Yitav Lev and his son the holy Rav the Kedushas Yom Tov and his son the holy Rav the Atzei Chaim of Siget.
[5], 1-153, 152-153 leaves. 37 cm. The title page and last leaf are slightly torn with an old restoration from the period. Moth perforations throughout the Sefer. Stains and wear. Water marks. Detached binding. Poor-fair condition.
