A well-known wonderful Segulah for protection, rescue and good health. The straw – ‘Stroi’ in the Asheknazi language on which the holy Tzaddikim of Belz used to stand while praying on Yom Kippur. It is well-known as a rare Segulah for protection and blessing in any matter.
The pious leaders of Belz themselves used to keep the straw – the Stroi under their mattresses for protection and Segulah.
