Awe-inspiring letter by the Admor the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Gershon Hager Av Beis Din of Tłuste and author of ‘Minchas HaGershoni’ the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Zablotow, with a terrible cry about the children arriving in Eretz Yisroel from Tehran and elsewhere and are to be given non-religious education. New York [1943]. 

Letter of protest and request, the cry of the Tzaddik Rabbi Gershon Hager of Tłuste author of Minchas HaGershoni about the awful religious persecution occurring in Eretz Yisroel with children, refugees of the destruction, who immigrated to the Holy Land, mainly from Tehran, Persia and who are now to be given non-religious education by the instructors of the Jewish Agency.

The rabbi joins the rabbis of the Union of Rabbis of the USA and Canada who sound the alarm and asks and pleads that the children be sent to educational institutions supervised by the Chief Rabbi of Eretz Yisroel the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Isaav Halevi Herzog and thus will be given religious education.

The Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Gershom Hager of Tłuste, the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Zablotow, the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Yaakov the son of the holy Rav Rabbi David of Zablotow the son of the holy Rav of Kosov. Served as Rav in Tłuste, Poland and eventually as Av Beis Din of Vienna. Settled in the USA, thus escaping the war in Europe. Authored the Seforim Zcush Avos and Minchas HaGershoni. In his Seforim, he discusses matters that needed Tikkun in the USA of those days. His only son, Rabbi Shmuel, perished in the Holocaust.
