A rare and important letter from Beis Vizhnitz! A detailed Yiddish letter handwritten by the renowned pious Rebbetin Mrs. Margalia Hager, the wife of the holy Rav Maran the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz, writing to her granddaughter abroad who was living in the house of the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Mordechai, who was eventually known as Maran the Holy Rav of Vizhnitz in Monsey, one of the greatest Chassidic Tzaddikim of the recent generation.
In the warm, personal letter, the Rebbetzin describes in a detailed and figurative manner the pleasant High Holidays they had experienced. ‘The Rebbe the dear grandfather Shalita led the prayers wondrously and was even heard better than previous years’. ‘The fast also went well and peacefully without us feeling its difficulty’. ‘May Hashem Yisborach help and heed our prayers and give us strength’. Later, she describes happy events that occurred in the Chatzer: A daughter was born to Menashe Hass and Herschel Winer has a good Shidduch from Jerusalem. She continues to describe the happenings at the Chatzer, mentioning the arrival of Chassidim from America and referring several times to the Chassid Chaim Meir Fuks.
On the letter, an important and precious Yiddish addition handwritten by the grandfather the holy Rav Maran the Imrei Chaim who blesses his granddaughter with Gemar Tov and a blessed year, adding his handwritten signature.
In addition, several Yiddish lines by the Rebbetzin Ernester or the Rebbetzin Adler describing the High Holidays as well.
The addressee is ‘Rav Hager’ in Brooklyn. Fold marks. Very good condition.
