The holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Shapiro (1850-1913), a disciple of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz and Rabbi Yechezkel Sheraga of Shinava and one of the greatest rabbis of Hungary. Served as the Rav of Munkatch, Hungary and as the second Admor of Munkatch. Authored the Seforim: "Darkei Teshuvah" on the Shulchan Aruch, "Zvi Tiferes" and more. He was succeeded by his only son, the Admor Rabbi Chaim Elazar Shapiro, author of the "Minchas Elazar".
Rabbi Chaim Shaul ben Rabbi Eliyahu Dweik Hacohen, HaRav HaSadeh [1857-1933], studied Torah at the yeshivas of Aleppo and was the disicple of Rabbi Eliyahu Mishan, Rabbi Ezra Tawil and Rabbi Mordechai Abadi. Since his youth studied Kabbalah and knew by heart sections of the Talmud and Poskim, the writings of the Ari, Rabbi Chaim Vital and Rabbi Sholom Sharabi. Immigrated to Eretz Yisroel in 1889 when he was 32 and studied at the Beis El Yeshiva for Kabbalists in the Old City of Jerusalem, dedicating his time to the study of Kabbalah and the writing of Torah innovations. In 1896, the Rav initiated the establishment of the Rechovos HaNahar Yeshiva for Kabbalists in the Bukharim neighborhood of Jerusalem. He suffered from an eye disease and refusing to travel abroad for an eye surgery, lost his sight. During the following twenty years, he continued to teach Kabbalah orally and served as the prayer leader of his yeshiva, knowing all the Kabbalistic Kavanos by heart. He passed away on the fourth of Teves 1933 and was laid to rest on the Mount of Olives.
